Huge thanks to David Summers, Mablethorpe and Sutton on Sea Town Crier for his welcome cry as we arrived in Mablethorpe.

Roy’s Crazy 88

“They started out in Nottingham
The land of Robin Hood
Roy’s Crazy 88 began
A walk to do much good.

To help folk who have suffered strokes
And raise a lot of cash
Roy spurred them with his lousy jokes
To try and make them dash.

But no, ‘twas with a steady pace
They covered mile on mile
Happy that it was no race
They plodded with a smile.

And now in Mablethorpe they’re here
Weary perhaps, but proud
So let’s all give a great big cheer
And make it super loud.

They’ve walked the walk they said they would
It wasn’t e’re in doubt
Now all that remains is that we should
Takes Debbie’s batteries out.”

And David finished, of course, with a raise of his hat and “God Save the Queen!
